    Grade Specific Catholic Education Curriculum
  • The Grade Specific Catholic Education Curriculum provides concise descriptors that identify what should be learned and lived as we share the treasure of our faith with our children on the life-long journey of being disciples of Christ.
  • The Archdiocese of Milwaukee has developed Grade Specific Catholic Education Curriculum to identify key religious education concepts for each grade level (1-8). These concepts are articulated in competence-based language.

These summaries are divided into four sections, based on the four main parts of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

    • Historical/Creedal/Church: Doctrines, dogmas, and creeds
    • Moral Life: Moral values contained in the Ten Commandments and Beatitudes
    • Liturgy/Sacrament/Prayer: Sacraments, liturgical season, Mary, and the saints
    • Scripture/Life Experience: Passages appropriate for learning and applicable to key areas in a child's life
