Mission:  The St. Patrick Parish School Community believes in teaching as Jesus did.  Being faithful to the Gospel of Jesus, we strive to provide a strong academic foundation while teaching the beliefs and traditions of our faith.

 

MISSION AIMS

1.     MESSAGE:  

a.    To develop an active lifelong Catholic response to the Gospel message based on Scripture and tradition.

b.    To understand and respond to God’s message as it related to individual needs as well as our community needs.

2.    COMMUNITY:

a.    To develop an understanding that we are children of God and to develop respect for all of God’s creation.

b.    To practice our Catholic values through our attitudes and actions toward all.

3.     SERVICE:

a.    To develop an awareness of our responsibility to all peoples.

b.    To motivate the children to exemplify Christ-like attitudes in service and love.

4.    WORSHIP:

a.    To provide individual and community faith experiences for our students so that they develop a personal relationship with God.

 

History:

In 1958, thanks to the vision of Fr. Joseph Hanauska, pastor from 1956-1983, St. Patrick Parish elementary school opened its doors.  On September 8, 1958, Sisters Mary Frances, Mary Jane and Mary Gabriel, School Sisters of Notre Dame arrived, with Sr. Mary Frances as the first school principal.  

 

St. Patrick Parish School just celebrated 50 years of providing the families of Elkhorn and the surrounding communities with Catholic education.  Today, St. Pat’s benefits under the direct leadership of Ray Henderson
